Fifth Grade

These are highlights from our Fifth Grade year so far….


Double digits – celebrating the Big 10 Happy Birthday!!


Biographical study on Jane Goodall. Focused on her work with chimps in Africa, as well as her activism and environmentalism efforts to make the world a better place.


Some of the things we studied during our music themed week: Biographies of famous composers (Beethoven, Bach, Mozart), history of Orchestra/Symphony, Peter and the Wolf, Sound of Music, Art: Concerto for Crayons


Celebrating NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night. Used our binoculars and an interactive star map to participate. We saw the waxing crescent Moon and Constellation Sagittarius, along with Mars and Venus.


Taking a shot at the pumpkin roll and other Fall themed events while visiting Bernheim Forest with our church group.


Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit with a pair of childhood favorite friends – Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber from VeggieTales – during a Family Fun Day event at a local bookstore.
