Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
The holidays are such a festive and busy time of year. There is so much to enjoy: family gathering and traditions, nature’s cheer, special events and celebrations, and so on. It can sometimes be overwhelming trying to keep up with all that’s on our holiday to do list. One thing I do keep on the list is making memories. I genuinely want my kids to have the best of both worlds: an appreciation for ancestral family traditions and making their own personal traditions to one day pass onto their kids. Over the past few years, we’ve had great fun during special community-based holidays events. In particular, A Nutcracker Reading by the local Nutcracker Ballet, Posting Santa Mail at The Mall, Breakfast with Santa, and riding the Polar Express Train. These holiday field trips have really been a great way to make wonderful holiday memories!
