Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
For Earth Day, I chose a field trip to a nature reserve because I felt it is a great way to explore nature on various levels: we learned about the natural (wild) state of a reserve, what is native to a particular area, ways we can care/preserve nature, importance of clean water and air, as well as how to be earth conscious/friendly. My goal was to allow nature to be a classroom and experience all that we had naturally available to us. We played I Spy during our nature walk and even put the binoculars to good use! The best lesson was emphasizing Earth Day as an every day mindset.
