Home School Years

Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it.

At The Farm

This is our first field trip! We kicked off our home school education (Kindergarten grade year) with a visit to a local farm. It was wonderful to see so many different animals sharing the space and roaming around in a public-friendly working farm. We also enjoyed watching animal families in a natural habitat and learned about the native wildlife. Visitors were encouraged to bring food to feed the animals, which we did. The experience reminded me of childhood times at my grandmother’s home where we fed hen, picked fresh fruits and vegetables from her garden and learned to take care of the land. I enjoyed this field trip as much as my son.
