Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
One of the benefits of having family members who grow and harvest food, is that we get an opportunity to participate in the process when we visit. That’s just what we did this weekend: picked grapes straight from the vines! My son learned about white and red grapes, how to tell when grapes are green, ripe or dried, as well as things we can make with them, such as juice, jelly/jam, vinegar and wine. We even got a close-up look at a butterfly sucking the nectar from a grape. It was an educational and enjoyable experience; similar to our harvest time field trip to an apple orchard last year.
Harvest = la cosecha
Grape(s) = uva(s)
