Materials Needed:

  • Brown Paper Lunch Bag
  • Small bear template (scroll to bottom of attached pdf)
  • Black card stock sheet
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Stapler
  • Cotton Balls (4)
  • Glue
  • Various Fall Leaves
  • Crayon (optional)

Step 1:

Print small bear pdf template and cut outline. Using a pencil, trace the outline onto the black card stock sheet and cut out to make black bear figure.

Step 2:

Cut 3 to 4 inches from the top of the brown paper bag. Discard the 3 to 4 inches you cut.

Step 3:

Cut an oval opening to make the front of the cave.

Step 4:

Fold up one inch of the bag and staple to close the cave bottom. This is the step where you can write or draw anything with a crayon onto the cave façade.

Step 5:

Pop open the cave then glue stretched cotton balls onto the top and bottom front of the cave to mimic snow.

Step 6:

Fill cave with fall leaves collected from the yard and place the bear in the opening of the cave.
