I’m a fan of the Williamson Little Hands Activity Book Series (ages 3-7) and the Williamson Kids Can! Activity Book Series (ages 4-9). I’ve used both to incorporate fun and educational activities into my curriculum. They have loads of information and suggestions with a variety of themes/subjects. They are great resources to help you build play and learning time. In addition, I recently began using The Everything KIDS’ Book Series (K-3) which also offers great ideas to expand lessons. These are some of the titles/themes within each series:
Williamson Little Hands Series:
Williamson Kids Can! Series:
The Everything KIDS’ Series:
Arty Facts: Linking Art To The World Around Us series from Crabtree Publishing is another great series. Titles include:
Seasonal Specific Crafts:
Kathy Ross has a series of craft themed books I found useful. Each of the four books is specific to a season and offers 29 fun and simple crafts young children can do. The crafts are inspired by nature and include seasonal, as well as holiday themes.
