  • Seeing Seeds worksheet
  • Sort seeds by size, shape, color or type (fruit vs. vegetable)
  • Discuss seeds we can eat (sesame seeds, baked pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, strawberry, cucumber seeds, tomato seeds, kiwi seeds) and how some foods we eat are the seed part of the plant, grain, nut or berry (corn, peas, beans, pecan, almond, walnut, rice, wheat, oat, blueberry). To expand the lesson, you can offer some seeds we should not/cannot eat as a comparison (peach, plum, cherry, apricot, apple, black watermelon seeds, etc).
